Bye, bye imposter.

The Intuition Insight for week of 15th April 2024 was about feeling like an imposter in your life. NOT about the imposter syndrome which is about feelings of self-worth and deserving. But about looking around your life and thinking, this is not what I expected to do or be.

It is ok for this type of imposter to pop up occasionally because it provides an opportunity to reflect and take stock of who we are, how far we have come and frankly, how chuffing amazing we are - that includes you, yes you are chuffing amazing.

It is when any imposter starts to take over the show, that we need to switch our vibrational frequency to reconnect with our intuitive self. Last week’s Intuition Insight had 3 practical steps to help with changing this frequency. I am including them in this hindsight as a reminder of how you can support yourself:

  • The first step is to accept how you feel, to accept the life you have. Acceptance means an end to questioning ‘why’ all the time. Stop asking ‘Why me?’ or ‘What did I do to deserve this?’ and learn to live with what you have - for now.

  • The second step is to move to a deeper level of gratitude than you currently experience and to feel gratitude from the heart. Have some quiet time, without interruptions and consider all aspects of your life and everything you can feel grateful for. If that means you are grateful for a roof over your head or the toast for breakfast, start with that. Make this a daily practice for at least two weeks. Do it more than once if that feels right. Notice how your feelings start to change over that time and how your gratitude deepens.

  • The third step is to ask the Universe for help in making the changes in life that can make you feel more empowered. Feeling empowered is the antidote to feeling the imposter.

Use these steps as often as you need to accept your life, feel gratitude, even if it is not the life you wanted or want and to ask for help for what you do.
